STARLIGHT LOOKS FOR potential students who display an enthusiastic and hard working attitude towards their Performing Arts training. IF YOU THINK you've got what it takes and would like to attend an audition, simply complete and return an application form along with a recent photo. You will then be contacted to confirm your audition. Spaces are limited. It is therefore advisable to book your space at the open audition as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Please read the guidelines, terms and conditions before applying. THE WORKSHOP-BASED AUDITIONS take place between September to March and will consist of 40 minutes of each subject - drama, singing and dance. There are approximately three workshop-auditions held annually giving applicants the opportunity to demonstrate their performance capabilities for tutors to assess and determine their suitability for professional training at Starlight. CLOSED AUDITIONS take place between September and March for prospective students who are nominated by their current school – either through their performing arts department or via their gifted & talented schemes. Ask your school for details. Schools wishing to support and encourage the potential development of their talented students should include their representation and contact details on the students application form. PLEASE DRESS in clothes suitable to move and dance in. (Strictly no jeans.) Please also bring a bottle of water for your singing and dancing sessions. You will not need to prepare any material for the audition. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the starting time. STARLIGHT OFFERS its limited places to prospective students who demonstrate that they are capable of taking full advantage of the training provided. This decision will be made initially on the assessment of their performance in the workshop-based audition. If successful, a three-week induction will be offered for further evaluation before a final decision is made. If a place is then offered and the student wishes to continue, a termly commitment is required and the student must continue to meet Starlight’s expectations throughout their time at the school. ADMISSION RESULTS will be sent to parents of all applicants with one of the following outcomes: 1. The prospective student is offered a place. 2. The prospective student is offered a place on a waiting list and will be contacted when a space becomes available. 3. A place cannot be offered at this time. FEES are charged in advance by the term and kept to a minimum. Please refer to Starlight Theatre School's “Guidelines, Fees, Terms & Conditions” section for further details.
